🔗 Share this article Vinted Shoppers Express Anger Over Size Changes Shoppers are voicing their frustration following a change that caused listings displaying inaccurate size information. This online marketplace has altered its measurement guidelines for women's and children's clothes failing to inform all users about the change. Digital Channels Reaction Numerous buyers and vendors have taken to social media stating that platform listings now display a modified sizing category compared to what was initially listed because of the remapping. The company said the new system was more in line with other platforms. They have suggested members to examine their items and update the measurements by hand when needed, causing user dissatisfaction. Sizing System Modifications Previously, the sizing featured a single numeric size and a letter, such as S/8 or M/10. The new system has an alphabetical indicator and numerical range like S/UK 8-10. With some products, the measurements have been reclassified - for example a size L was formerly size 12 but now shows as UK 16-18. User Experiences Frankie Bridger, who produces content about larger sizing, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling". "Few clothing companies classify XL as 20-22," the way the service now categorizes. Another user, from Glasgow, explained products she uploaded on Vinted with size 14 labels were displaying on the service as larger sizing 20-22. "Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they may become frustrated," she stated. Necessary Adjustments Another shopper, from Derby, said she had been left angered because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizing for "all her products". "This situation is especially annoying, as I'm chronically ill and platform income has been essential following partial earnings loss," she explained. Platform Context The app has more than 100 million members, comprising 18 million UK members. It has emerged as a preferred choice to second-hand platforms like eBay and Depop. This represents another occasion when a surprising modification within the service has received backlash: previously, the service retracted a modification to its shipping options after backlash from users.
